Founded in 1937, our original product line was roll formed, galvanized steel storm sash. Roll formed aluminum replaced steel in the 1950's. Extruded aluminum replaced roll formed in the 1960's

With the 1980's came vinyl. First it replaced aluminum siding. Afterwards, it began to grow in the replacement window market and then in the new construction market.  This new construction material displaced the popular storm window.

Once the king of the home improvement market storm windows have become a niche product and storm doors a commodity of the big box store.  However there remain architectural purists, historic preservationists and the pragmatic energy conservationist for whom the storm window is still important.  

Now teamed up with the Styleline Company based in Monroe WI, the popular Kaufmann storm products continue to be available to the public nationwide.  Styleline is concentrating on those consumers for whom a boxy, plastic replacement window will not do.  We also offer custom sized storm doors that the big box stores are just too busy to make.
